FRONT OF HOUSE VOLUNTEERS
Usher: All of our mainstage shows have reserved seating, and as an usher you’ll act as hosts and show our patrons to their seats. Your training is quick and easy, and you need to show up one hour prior to show time to learn the ropes. Your duties also include tearing tickets and handing out playbills (occasionally stuffing them with fliers). You can dress comfortably (there are stairs), but NO blue jeans, shorts or T-shirts. You need to stay for the show following seating to assist anyone moving around during the show.

Concessions: Everyone loves refreshments! As a concessions volunteer, you’ll be pouring drinks and selling snacks. And because we serve alcohol, we ask that adults assume this duty. Training for this job begins one hour prior to show time and the dress code is the same as ushers. You are also invited to stay for the performance, but we’ll need you back at your station during intermission to help our patrons curb their snack attacks.

TECH CREW/SHOP VOLUNTEERS
Shop Work: Good at carpentry, painting or the ever necessary strike? We love seasoned professionals with a ton of extra time to dedicate to in-house set building—but we’re also glad to welcome beginners interested in the craft.

Costume Shop: Calling all costumers and seamstresses—we’ve got a great costume shop. Can’t wait to hear from you.

Backstage: There’s a ton of stuff to do backstage during a production. Props, stage manager, make-up, costume dresser, hairdresser, running crew. Whew! What a great opportunity to see great theatre from the inside track!

Lights: Two main elements define lighting at Theatre In The Park: hanging lights during Tech Week, and running lights during the show.

Sound: We can use your help with pre-show sound recording and running sound during the show.
